The National Association of Racing Staff is working with the Racing Foundation and the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) to conduct a survey about recruitment, training and retention of racing staff. This is a repeat of a survey conducted in 2016, which sought to inform the development of several new services available to people working in racing. The survey is being repeated now to see whether the new services are making a difference.
The survey is being carried on the industry’s behalf by independent research company, Public Perspectives Ltd.
All registered stable staff will either be sent a questionnaire in the post or over e-mail in November 2018.
In 2016, a large number of racing staff participated, and because of that information we have been able to develop an understanding of what needs to be addressed and in what order. We are hoping for a good response again so that the survey reflects the views and experience of all racing staff.
