    The National Minimum Wage to increase by 4.9%

    The National Minimum Wage will rise from £7.83 per hour to £8.21 per hour on 1st April 2019.

    In terms of your employment in racing this applies to what is called your racing expenses as the hourly rate you earn outside of your normal working hours.

    You travelling expenses and subsistence will remain the same but these are up for debate at the next National Joint Council to be held later this year.
